- 1CFG Merchant Solutions says it is operationally ready for SB 362, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
- 2It trained sales, underwriting and operations teams on the requirements.
- 3It wants ISOs to avoid misleading use of "interest" or "rate".
CFG Merchant Solutions (CFGMS), a New York-based funder, says it is fully operationally ready for California Senate Bill 362 (SB 362), which takes effect Jan. 1, 2026. The law expands commercial financing disclosure requirements statewide.
How CFGMS is preparing
The company says it built compliance into its funding infrastructure so the new disclosures do not slow deal execution or capital delivery, and so ISO partners can move from offer to funding at their usual speed. Specifically, it says it has:
- Trained its sales, underwriting and operations teams to follow SB 362 consistently and accurately.
- Prepared to provide merchants and partners with all required disclosures and supporting documentation.
What it expects from ISOs
CFGMS is asking ISO partners to meet two expectations across all origination channels:
- Avoid the misleading use of the words "interest" or "rate."
- Make sure sales teams are properly trained to stay compliant.
The company says it will keep providing guidance, tools and training resources as the effective date nears, and that more guidance will follow as implementation continues.
Questions
ISOs with questions about SB 362, APR disclosures or compliance expectations are directed to their CFGMS representative or the company's compliance department.
