Kris Roglieri, founder and former operator of the National Alliance of Commercial Loan Brokers (NACLB) Conference, has been sentenced to 97 months in prison.

The case

Roglieri earlier pleaded guilty to wire fraud conspiracy after it came to light in 2024 that his commercial lending business, Prime Capital Ventures, was a ponzi scheme. His attorney had argued for a sentence of four to six years; the judge imposed roughly eight.

Following the conviction last fall, Acting U.S. Attorney Sarcone said Roglieri flaunted the proceeds of his scheme, including luxury vehicles, rare watches and private jet travel, while feeding victims bigger lies. "All those trappings of wealth will be forfeited, and he will be ordered to make his victims whole," Sarcone said, adding that he applauded the FBI and his office for unraveling the scheme.
