CAPEDGE, a UK non-bank lender focused on mid-market finance, has appointed Kevin Vendel as Director of Mid-Market Lending & Partnerships, the London-based company announced on October 16, 2025. Vendel will lead its engagement with corporate finance boutiques, accountants and other intermediaries, with the aim of driving referral-led growth.
Background
Vendel comes from TP24, where he was Commercial Director and led mid-market growth through direct and intermediary channels. Before that he was Head of Sales at FIBR, building partnerships and delivering portfolio growth across SME lending.
CEO David Goldin said Vendel's record of building high-performing teams and scaling mid-market origination through intermediaries will strengthen relationships with advisers and corporate finance boutiques whose mid-sized clients need business loans of £500,000 to £3 million or more.
The lender
CAPEDGE targets a funding gap for mid-sized UK businesses seeking £500,000 to £3 million. It pairs human-led underwriting with approvals and funding that can take as little as a few days, which it contrasts with weeks at other non-bank lenders and months at banks. Uses range from growth and working capital to bridging a company until a longer-term facility or liquidity event.
COO/CFO John Rozenbroek said the company serves established mid-sized businesses that need fast access to capital without a bank's lengthy process. Vendel said CAPEDGE solves a real gap for firms that value speed, certainty and a relationship-driven approach.
CAPEDGE is part of the Capify family, an alternative finance provider that has supported businesses in the UK and Australia since 2008. Capify serves smaller SMEs, while CAPEDGE focuses on larger mid-market firms.
