Fox Ridge Capital, a hybrid business equipment financing company based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, has appointed Stan Dumont as senior vice president of credit. The company announced the hire on June 3, 2026.
The role
Dumont will establish and lead Fox Ridge's credit function from the ground up. He will define credit policy and governance while scaling underwriting and risk capabilities to support a growing portfolio. His remit includes credit policy development, portfolio analytics, credit governance and collaboration with the origination, product and operations teams.
Fox Ridge listed priorities that include improving underwriting speed through data-driven decisioning and technology, strengthening portfolio risk controls, monitoring and stress testing, and expanding product and credit support for small and mid-market clients.
Background
Dumont brings nearly 20 years of experience in funding, credit and risk management in commercial lending and equipment finance. His equipment finance career started at Direct Capital, where he was a funding manager and credit manager. He then put in more than ten years in leadership positions at Ascentium Capital, helping build out and expand its underwriting and credit functions.
Fox Ridge CEO Tom Depping said Dumont has a record of building scalable underwriting platforms and noted that this is the second startup of Depping's that Dumont has joined. Dumont said he was eager to join Fox Ridge at inception and build the credit function with an experienced team.
Fox Ridge serves small to mid-sized businesses as well as equipment and technology providers that offer financing to their own clients. More is at Fox Ridge Capital.
