- 1The legacy LendAcademy p2p forum was migrated to DailyFunder because of frequent outages elsewhere.
- 2Its owner acquired the forum in 2021 after data was permanently lost, then restored what it could.
- 3DailyFunder, launched in 2012, is described as the oldest small business finance forum in the US.
The old LendAcademy peer-to-peer lending forum has moved again, this time to DailyFunder.
Why it moved
The forum's owner migrated it to DailyFunder because of software compatibility problems that kept taking it offline on its previous servers. DailyFunder's software was able to integrate the content reasonably well, the owner said.
The forum's history
LendAcademy's forum launched in 2011 and was the most popular p2p lending forum in the US. In 2021, an incident permanently destroyed its data. The current owner acquired the forum that year in a takeover deal with the former operators, using proprietary forensic techniques to restore as much of the content as possible.
