Ocrolus announced on October 28, 2025 that it has launched Encore, a double opt-in borrower intelligence sharing platform built for small business funding. The pitch is that trusted counterparties can pass deals to each other instantly, using a common set of cash flow metrics, so funding decisions come faster.
The data foundation
Since 2016, Ocrolus has built cash flow analytics infrastructure behind credit scoring models at more than 175 funders. The company names Enova, Square, PayPal, Rapid Finance, Kapitus, Fora Financial, Bluevine, Libertas and Expansion Capital Group among them. Its analytics were trained on more than 15 million applications and have become, the company says, a de facto language for interpreting bank data.
The workflow problem
Ocrolus describes the typical process as inefficient. Brokers pre-qualify borrowers with a quick look at bank statements, estimate revenue, identify competing offers and email the application to a funder. The funder may not trust the reported metrics and re-analyzes the source documents from scratch. In some cases, it says, brokers collect Plaid or Finicity credentials and see digital bank data, yet are told to convert it to PDF and email it, adding time and data errors as well as security risk. Encore is meant to remove those friction points.
What partners say
Lendio Co-founder and CPO Trent Miskin said lenders have long relied on Lendio for SMB flow and Ocrolus for data standardization and cash flow analytics. In his view, Encore removes duplicated data processing, shortens time to offer and improves the embedded experience small businesses expect.
David Snitkof, Ocrolus General Manager of SMB, said customers rank origination growth at the top of their priorities. He said Encore should help brokers and funders approve more often by converting more leads, funding larger deals, serving more industries and accessing capital faster.
Availability
Encore is live with an initial group of early adopter partners who will use it through the end of the year. Ocrolus plans to open it to a broader group in January 2026. More about the company is at Ocrolus.com.
