- 1Parafin has funded more than 50,000 businesses since its 2020 founding.
- 2Parafin reported 2025 revenue of $90 million, about double Lightspeed Capital's.
- 3Most of its fundings go to repeat borrowers.
Parafin has disclosed that it has funded more than 50,000 businesses since inception, a number that arrived with news of a new credit facility with Goldman Sachs and One William Street.
An unusual metric
Founded in 2020, Parafin has usually promoted the dollar value of "offers" it has put in front of small businesses, not the amount that actually went out the door. That runs against the prevailing industry habit of leading with funded volume, so the 50,000 figure is a rare data point.
How it compares
Over five years, 50,000 deals is modest next to the largest players. Square Loans, the leading online lender by volume, funded approximately 700,000 loans in the last year alone.
On revenue, Parafin disclosed $90 million for 2025, roughly twice that of Lightspeed Capital over the same period. Lightspeed originated $340 million in MCAs in 2025.
Repeat borrowers and partners
Parafin says most of its fundings go to repeat borrowers. The company powers financing on platforms including Amazon, Walmart, DoorDash and Gusto.
