Pathway, a New York-based fintech, has launched an automation platform for underwriting small business financing. The company says it helps funders and brokers cut decision time from hours to minutes while improving accuracy and consistency. The announcement is dated September 2025.
What the platform does
Pathway parses and reconciles bank statements, auto-screens deals and produces outputs it calls mathematically verifiable. The company says it was built by underwriters for underwriters, with clean summaries, deep audits and configurable decision rules meant to eliminate dead paper and speed deal flow.
Co-founder Andrew Bisch said Pathway is a decision engine, not just a document reader, and that it automates the tedious work while leaving users in control of the deal.
Features
- Statement parsing and reconciliation: transactions, balances and metadata reconciled, with anomalies flagged for audit.
- Auto-decisioning: configurable rules that can approve or deny deals instantly.
- Scalability: support for teams of all sizes without a drop in output quality.
- CRM and email pipeline sync: clean data pushed into existing pipelines.
The platform also includes information on UCC filings, AI-powered business research, custom Gmail forwarding and white-label deployment. Pathway cites Okta-powered authentication, audit trails on every file and deployment to AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
We aren’t just a document reader—we’re a decision engine
