Two lenders that were not on many radars a year ago are now showing up as capital providers on some of the largest e-commerce platforms: Slope and Uncapped.
Slope
Slope is backed by JPMorgan and by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and offers revolving lines of credit up to $5 million. It has appeared quickly as a capital provider for large platforms including Amazon and Walmart, where it is now listed alongside Parafin.
When it announced its deal with JPMorgan last year, Slope put the size of the US embedded financing market at $20 billion and the B2B economy at $125 trillion. The company also offers a new AI underwriting tool.
Uncapped
Uncapped is described differently depending on the platform. Walmart says it offers term loans, while Amazon says it offers lines of credit. The company's website says it provides loans from $10,000 to $2 million and that it accepts business from loan brokers. Uncapped was technically founded in 2019, but in the United Kingdom.
