Intuit's QuickBooks Capital originated $1.3 billion in term loans to small businesses in the fiscal quarter ended Oct. 31, 2025, double the volume of the same period a year earlier.
The full-year picture
For the fiscal year that ended July 31, 2025, the business originated $3.5 billion in term loans, up from $1.8 billion in fiscal 2024. Those figures put it near the top of the online small business lenders in industry volume rankings.
An understated business line
Intuit rarely discusses its term loan business in quarterly earnings, because other segments, including QuickBooks software, TurboTax and Mailchimp, dominate its results. The loans are marketed inside the QuickBooks software itself, a practice known as embedded lending.
The structure matters: the loans are technically issued by bank partners, and Intuit then buys the loans back from them.
